Nope you don't need to carry a balance. Use it, then whenever you receive a bill, pay it off. *I don't want to pay any interest!!!!!!!!!* hahahaha

I do plan on getting a PSP at some point... but just like the PS2 (and iPods and other stuff) often the same item will go through several generations of slight changes.  Once a better battery comes out, Sony will put one in.  The PS2 used to have separate graphics and I/O-PSX chips, but eventually everything was combined on one chip. Or something like that.

I'd give Sony a few months to put out an updated version with either lower energy consumption or a new battery.  And one that fixes whatever engineering issues the first batch has.

I'm actually with Turk on this one. I've been reading alot on it and it seems to have its share of flaws atm. ill wait a few months for an updated version, at least thats $350 that can go towards my SV....

Don't carry a balance on your credit cards unless you absolutely must. I charge and pay off about 250 to 500 bux each month and pay it all off every time ... no exceptions.  My credit score came back 802 last week

As for the PSP.  its cool, but I still say personally that I'm holding out for the new nintendo next year.

Unfortunately i was in  the same boat but after ARF last year im still playing  catch up, closed my business ( wa sa jeweler. now doen as a hobby )lol nehow overlook me im postwhoring for a good cause, resurrecting some rather odd posts. i may bring back frankenbike

I have owned a PSP in the past, and I have to say using it for internet is TERRIBLE.  I'm lucky I bought it off a friend cheap and sold it to another for the same price.  I have to say for internet, the iPod Touch is the only option.  It's much faster and text input is a breeze and all the other things you can do with it just blows my mind.  If you really get into it, you can Jailbreak it for homebrew apps and the possibilities are endless.  I guess I'm not really a big gamer, but you can play all kinds of emulators on the iPod Touch and that works for me.

I used to work for EA on the psp and other handhelds... i was unimpressed with it.  Tons of issues, specially with the thumbstick and the square button.  Design flaws out the wazoo i think.

Overall, I felt its software was too restricted and its hardware was too awkward.
