Yoshimura Slip-on

I got my hands on a 2003 GXSR600 Yoshimura Slip-on. I'm going to cut the stock can off this weekend and weld the Yoshi on.  As far as rejetting goes, do I need to waste my $$$ on an after market Jet kit, or could I just adjust the stock jets to a richer mix?  :dunno:

My Main concern is I don't want the mix to be too lean where it engine will overheat and/or back fire.

You will need to replace the main jets, there is adjustment except for shimming the needle.
Common sense in not very common.

Did you install the GSXR600 Yoshi pipe??  How does it sound with the GS??  Did you have to weld it on?  Did you rejet?? (can you tell that I want to do the same thing?!)

have fun trying to weld the can to the pipe, ones aluminum and one is steel.  I used a busa can with a busa midpipe that i welded on and then I could bolt the can on. if someone tells me how to post pics i will but I really dont know how.  And it sounds nice, way better than a hole drilled in the stock pipe.  Its not real loud either, i think it is comparable to one, hald inch hole drilled in the stock pipe but is easier on the ears as it isnt as sharp, more mellow.  peace.
