Frame Sliders / Engine Guards

I'm still interested in the three pointers.  Last questions, one for Srinath, one for Indestuctable Man.  

1) What if you have a silver frame and black engine?  Need the case saver to be black.

2) It seems your case guards fit will with the chin fairing.  Do you think the three pointers will fit just as well (should be unaffected)?

my chin fairing is very much a custom (read: hack) job.  it doesn't interfere with the case guards at all.  it is cut from the lower fairing of a fully faired bike (no idea what bike it's off).

i'm not sure how other chin fairings attach, but i would guess that they mount to the same engine bolts the case guards mount to and that there might be problems.

i would guess that some ingenuity and/or some skill with a dremel might overcome those problems, but i'm really not sure.

From what I understand (if I understand)...
On an 04F these can be installed but the fairing cannot be placed back on?
If the fairing can be put back on how do the sliders come out?
And lastly.. Howabout frame sliders by themselves. Some dude is selling some on eBay but I hear they are CRAP!! Tahnks.

If I made them and I might cos its not that time consuming (for me) its design and spec it and laser guys headache after that ...  :lol:  ... then I make sliders (whihc is just plastic rods cut and drilled ... ) the 04 fairing will fit with all of this in place ... with no holes needing to be drilled in it either ... pretty much take off lowers fit these and put lowers back on ...

What would the sliders bolt to without the case guards? Or are they not designed like that yet?...

The sliders are not a separate item ... atleast not in my design. You can have 2 or 3 point guards without or with sliders ... sliders wihtout guards ... nope ...
The bike got nothing that will take a slider wihtout a hole in the fairing even if you managed to make/find one ...

count me in, i am looking for a pair of sliders for my 04 gs

I responded back in April that I'd like a set for my '04... but as it's been a few months I wanted to shout out again.  I'm thinking the 3-point guard with frame sliders is what I want, assuming it'll all fit the '04.  

I don't care if it looks bad on my pretty bike.  My s/o just crashed this past week and the cost of repairs would have been a lot worse if his '05 Yamaha FZ6 didn't have sliders... so I know I need 'em too!

Let me know when and where to send money, and I'll do it.  I wanna be one of the first to get one this batch.  Thanks!
