so im gettin a new tire put on tonite.  what maintenance should i do while i have the wheel off?  besides the obvious dirt cleaning...

Repack the grease in your swingarm bearings. You do have to drop the swingarm of course, I mean, remove it from the frame.

I did that the other weekend when I was replacing a bunch of parts back there.

I don't know if this is obvious to everyone else, but I would suggest loosening all the bolts before removing them from your bike. That way you aren't as likely to strip nuts and have to remove them with the cutting disc of a dremel.

my dremel would sit in its box for moths at a time if I didn't strip or other wise damage screws.  Sometimes I do it on purpose so the little guy can feel important  :thumb:

If you take the swing arm off to lub might as well get it powder coated if it needs it. :cheers:
