Adhesive for rubber fuel tank cusions????

Does anyone know what the proper adhesive is to use to attach the 2 little rubber tank cusions (the little square ones that rest against the frame) to the fuel tank?

Any rubber cement should be fine.

i had grip glue laying around in my tool box, it's a little rubbery in texture like what was there previously.
You could use an "all natural adhesive" - Homey the Clown/ This Old Box

3M Weatherstrip Adhesive works pretty good in these applications. Love the small Suzuki 500 and this forum.

Yep, that 3M is some good stuff. I used it to glue the tank molding on and it has a really strong grip. But it doesn't seem to be fuelproof so any gas that gets on there is going to soften it.

OK 3m weatherstrip ... OK ... some tanks ... like the one conanlloyd sent me was so hard to get off ... one tore and The other had to be pulled off wiht a pliers and it also sustained damage, yet on some they fall off ...

Best way I've found to apply 3M; squeeze a thin strip of adhesive to each part. Let it "skin" over. Squeeze another small strip to each part and then touch the parts together and pull them apart. Wait a few seconds and then place the parts together and press firmly for about 10 seconds or so. Let it set up for a day and the stuff will hold a ton. Fuel isn't supposed to affect it once it has set up dry. Love the Baby White Owl and this forum.
