Which to buy ?

I am looking at my first bike, Either a new 2004 GS500 or a 2005 GS500, I don't know if there are any differences between the 2, but 2005 Has a color that I like (black and red).. Are there any mechanical differences, which one is faster and more fun ? .. Thanks in advance - Ron

far as I know, they are exactly the same.  Is this your first bike?  If so, I urge you to buy an older model, used GS500E.

yeah, the older e's don't have the plastic fairing that get scuffed when you drop it, dropped my e (not movint), was able to repait the damage with some rubbing compound and a can of duplicolor black.

I like the simple "standard" thats why I went for this bike, glad my local dealer screwed with me, or I wouldn't have found the one I have

Everyone has a bike with fairing, or a cruiser with chrome, I'm different with a simple, easy to maintain bike, I am however, looking fofr a windsheild/ headlight fairing to match my red 96 correct me if I'm wrong but it should make 70mph much more comfortable.

05 blue GS has blue tail, 04 blue GS has white tail    ... suzuki was asleep at the wheel when they were rolling them out ...BTW the yellow 04 is yellow tail, but both bikes ahve a black front fender ... like lovely ... and who was the genius that painted the grab bar in wrinkle finish black ... looks like sheite ...
