Well I'm lazy and don't feel like typing everything out so here's a quick version of what I've been doing.

-not going back to the bad dealer even though it seems like the best deal
-went to 3 more dealers, one didn't want my business or to try to work with me, one was about an hour away to/from and didn't even have the bike I wanted   , one is a brand new dealer for just Honda's, looks really good.
-the good Honda dealer offered me 8.55k OTD for the Honda but only 3k for my bike.
-I went around used motorcycle shops, they only offered me 3k or less for my bike. they all wanted to do consignment which I don't want to do but they promised I would have gotten more money for my bike I just don't know how long it would take for them to sell it. If they even sell it at all.
-going back to the nice Honda dealer tomorrow. Going to try to talk them into giving me a little more for my bike but my dad finally realized that my bike is only worth about 3-3.2 thousand. probably going to bite the bullet and just go with these guys even though I will be at a bigger loss than the "good" deal I would have had at the shitty dealer.
-it's raining now and my dad doesn't want me riding in the rain so I don't know how I'm going to get my bike to the the Honda dealer tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

I guess it ended up being kind of long anyways. Oh well. I'll keep you guys posted.

Questions:
I know 8.55k is a little less than the 8.6 the crappy dealer gave me but is 8.55kOTD plus 3k for my bike a good deal? Now remember this is for a black 05 CBR600RR.

I found out that my bike is worth $3,270 max trade in. Retail it is 4k.

I think thats still a good deal. if 8.55 is truly out the door price you're getting the bike for under MSRP.

Ok so it's still a good deal that's good hearing that from a CBR owner.

Hey Pantablo what did you pay for your CBR and did you trade in the GS if you don't mind me asking?

why don't you just sell your bike instead of trading it in?

I have to echo this sentiment.  If you're unsatisfied with $3k for your bike (I know I would be), a private sale is the way to go.  With spring underway, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting rid of it.

He's cool with the CBR600 but not cool with riding in the rain.   :?  Oh, well, I guess we all have our pecadillos.

Are pecadillos good with salsa? Love the Baby GS and this forum.

ok my barny's dealer offered me, ME, $3000 for my 04 gs500f with 2500 miles and they know it was put down on the right side in a corner with plenty of visual damage. so your bike could easily be sold for $4000 or more to some private owner....
