The day that I bought my bike I was buying equipment and accessories.  I want to get a set of frame sliders and the salesman told no one makes them for 500s.  Is this bs, and if they do make them where can I find them?  TIA.

Depends on what year bike you have. www.whaccessories.com makes them for the 89-02 naked models. Not sure how they will fit on the 04+ bikes with fairings.

For the the bikes with fairings, there are not many options.

IMO these are a waste of money:

Some here have talked about making them.

Do a search.
Common sense in not very common.

You might be able to find a thread on the message board that says "Frame Sliders/Engine Guards. . ."

Good luck!
