Anyone ever seen or owned a Green GS? Mine is currently red with white wheels. Thinking about getting the frame, swingarm and wheels powdercoated some shade of silver and painting the tank, side covers and fender British Racing Green.

Am I out of my mind or what?

No, that would definitely be unique. I think it would look good. Love the little thing (Baby GS) and this forum too.

DO IT!  I've wanted to see a british racing green gs for a while, I think it would look pretty good.  Maybe with a darker silver frame, etc?  good luck :thumb:

those 599's are nice....but for what they cost I'd rather pick up a 919....

I have been thinking about doing mine in BRG, too.  I played with photoshop to try to find a pain scheme that would look good.  I'll post some pix soon.

That Triumph green similar to the Honda you posted is sweet too! A little bit brighter I think.

That's only in racing, but look at what Scott Russell did with the ZX7 back in...'90?

Edit: BTW, I'd do the British Racing Green with a black frame and swingarm and keep the rims white for that classy look.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

"Hammerite" paints do a green that is very like BRG with slight metalic highlights, I have often fancied it as and when I get a project bike.

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

I'll never understand why some people like BRG.  I guess they weren't moving many units when they were calling it "baby poop green".

Sorry.  Just my $.02.

I'll be quiet now.

I saw a green gs500 while walking up the street today to get lunch. The bike had a yosh full on it and sounded great. Tank and plastics were a lighter shade of BRG with orange accents. It looked good but not good enough that i'd do it to mine.

Actually, my wife just finished painting hers GM Meadow Green (kind of a real dark metallic green)  Silver frame, white rims and decals.

She also rhino-lined her cowl, rear grab bar, case guards and a faux "tank bra".  It looks sweet and should never have another tank rust....
