And the guy seems pretty happy about it too..!!!  Then he takes some cool "stud" shots to impress the chicks.  I guess if your gonna go down that's the way to do it.  But man...he ruined a nice shirt.  :nono:  :nono:

He actually doesn't look that bad other than the knee...and it was just a little hole that could be sewn up. He was really lucky; could've ripped the knee OFF, could have ground the arm down into the bone (needing skin-grafts ala Cernunos), could have almost lost the foot (like I almost did also). It's a shame, because he may not have learned anything from this. Love the Baby GS, Germany, and this forum.

AWESOME!!!!! haha sucks for him.  he will probably stick to his bed sheets and clothes now.  Even if he would have been wearing a jacket he still would have the messed up knee. I think I am going to get some pants to wear now

That extra time to get dressed up don't seem so bad now. He couldn't have been going that fast, but if he had full gear on he would have just gotten up with maybe a few bruises.

as you can see from the pics, he's still under the impression that 'chicks dig scars'

he'll be a bit less happy about when the real pain starts setting in, in a few days

I like the part where the poster says that he/she "can't believe" that another one of their friends fell and got "rashed up."  Hard to believe that somebody would get hurt falling from a motorcycle wearing jeans, regular shoes and a dress shirt...

Riding is dangerous enough if you take EVERY precaution, why would you want to make it more dangerous?  A simple low speed low-side on some gravel can turn into skin grafts pretty quickly if you're not wearing gear.

lol, when i crashed (similar to that) 2 days later i couldn't move from the pain...but he isn't gonna be too happy when he starts putting his bike back together

My brother the Firefighter was telling me one time that if YOUR road rash is bad enough, YOU will be treated just like a burn victim. After the doctors pick all the pieces of asphalt out of your skin they take some steel wool and srub off all the dead skin. ouch!

Nah, they use a nylon scrubby pad, hurts the same though.  Steel wool leaves fragments.
