Gas cap from a 2000 gsxr600? fit?

I need a new gas cap. Mine broke off and is all rusted up., Will a gsxr600 gas cap work? I can get my hands on one cheap.

As far as I know, most Suzuki sport bikes use the same cap. The part numbers may not be the same due to minor changes.

I have found for a fact that all Suzuki sportbikes (including the GS500) have the same bolt pattern and circle for gas caps.

I bought a Vortex Gascap for the GSXR range, and it fits my GS just fine.
