I have a 93 and it has like 19,000 miles. How long do you think it will last if I take care of it? Who has the most miles?

I'm not trying for the "most miles" designation, but I have 13K on my 2002 since I got it new and it runs better than ever (less a flaccid carb float tang here and there).  I honestly think the transmission is smoother now than it ever has been.

If you were really serious about cutting the crap and finding out who has the most miles on their GS, you would have just PM'ed GSJack and been done with it.

LIFE should NOT be a journey to the GRAVE with the intention of arriving SAFELY in an attractive and well PRESERVED body, but rather to SKID in sideways, CIGAR in one hand, favorite beverage in the other, body thoroughly USED UP, totally WORN OUT, and screaming WOW - WHAT A RIDE!

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

RIP RICH! We'll miss you buddy!

You think you're low?  I've had my 2001 for 3 seasons and I'm just at 6700 miles.  But this may be my year to break out and do 4000 miles!!  Just stop this snow and rain on the weekends!!

Yeah, but you have an excuse, you're in MI.  I lived in the Bay Area, CA up to last summer and only had about 8500 miles on my '02 when I hit the road for TX... shameful.  'Course, that's going to turn around quick, Texas is a big place, I've got lots more time to ride now, and I have a 15 mile commute each way...
