Davipu is bipolar ... He'd post endlessly in threads that all end up in the tard farm, and then when you least expect it ... he'd come up with a Gem like this

I have no problems with the stock shock but then I've never ridden anything but my GS
Regardless - I set the shock where I get about 1/3 of the total compression (travel) distance by just stiing on the bike. Have someone measure how much you compress the shock. Keep adjusting until you get it right. I'm 155lbs and have it set on position 3 for most of my daily riding. With my wife on the back (I'm not gonna tell you how much she weights    (for me) but its less than me) I ratchet it up to 5. It works fine. A friend was riding behind us and told me that it looked like we were just floating over the bumps and asked us if well felt any bumps at all.
Hope that helps a little.
Ride safe!
