So i just got my K&N lunchbox filter and am all ready to rejet.  I have 127.5 mains and 40 pilots, but finding #4 washers is impossible!! I've tried every major hardware store and #6 is the smallest they have!  Does anyone have some lying around they could mail me for all of 37 cents or some advice on what to do?  Thanks!

Check with a local hobby shop. They often carry small size hardware for use on model cars and aircraft engines.

I have some. They're 1/4 in. OD and 1/8 in. ID. Email me if you can't find any locally.

Lowes. Be prepared to search drawers but they're there.
You running the stock exhaust or a can?
If can then you might want big mains with the lunchbox, like 150.

Thanks for the help, I called Lowe's they said they don't have any, only #6, I guess I should go down there and check for myself.  I am using a stock exhaust, I read in the "poor man's rejet" that 127.5 mains would be good to go for lunchbox and no exhaust is that still true? John, I will let you know if I still can't finad any locally.  Thanks again all!

OK you'd want 150 or 147.5 ... no can ... too many people tried that and had problems ... you want a free flower for the pipe ...
Weasel - gas mileage loss is under 10% if you do the exact same thing you did before you jetted ... if you dont ... all bets are off ...

weasel - You didn't read it right ... 10% if your attitude doesn't change ... the motor will start sounding happy and will indicate that now it wants to be run hard ... you will pay with your wallet ... but I imagine you'd be smiling ...

I couldn't find any either, so I ended up buying several hundered online. After I put them in my carbs, my bike wouldn't run. I wonder why....

Anyhow, there have been several offers but if you still need some washers, let me know.

I found plenty of the #4 washers at Ace Hardware. Nothing that small at Lowes or Home Depot. Bolt & Nut supply houses will have them too.
Common sense in not very common.

Try Ace/True Value/small hardware store, fastener specialty store,or door hardware(commercial)supplier.Make sure you put them NEXT TO THE C-CLIP and check those little o-rings on the top of the carbs before you spend an extra 4 hours taking everything apart and reinstalling again and again like I did! :x
I found them at Ace for $0.03 a piece in stainless! :)

Oh yeah....I forgot.....change the exhaust too....right now!The sound is unreal....filter/jet/exhaust REALLY wakes the bike up!

A huge thank you to Srinath for the recipe!

Thanks everyone, Lowe's and Home Depot were futile but my neighborhood True Value store had them in stock!  So i finally got some and will being the rejet tonight.  I also exchanged my 127.5 mains for 147.5 at Chaparral.  I will attempt to rejet tonight, wish me luck!  I also picked up some of the rubber O-rings while I was there since some people mentioned problems with older ones on their carbs.  Is #4 also the appropriate size? That's what I got ...

ummm....I "made" my new o-rings from some old vacuum line....probably not the best idea, but it works for now since it's not raining again!

The #4 washers I got from ace hardware were too big and would cause the needle to get unseated.  If you have problems after putting in the number four washers, take off the top of the carbs and put in some smaller diameter ones like #3 or #2 washers (so long as the inner diameter is large enough).  I found all these sizes in little cardboard bins at ace hardware, just make sure you check the actual diameters (against the needle washer or the washer that didn't work) because people tend to mix them in the boxes together.
