Saddlebags have their place - I carry groceries and overnight stuff in my F650's - but I've found the tank bag to be a lot nicer for everyday crap.  Given the choice, I'd rather do a tank bag.

Edit - in reference to that other thread, the men's Phoenix gloves look a LOT more substantial (wind-deflection-wise) than the women's.

Well, I guess I'd better figure out what size I need...  Those are pretty cheap!
