Total cost for 3.5yrs............$5191

Cost/mile ..........................$0.20

Say I get a "salvage" from the vehicle of $1000 (basically what I can back from the physical investment)

Then.
Total cost for 3.5yrs with salvage.......$4191
Cost/mile..........................$0.16

Just tossing out some numbers.  A few of the prices are "guesses" because I do not remember exactly how much I paid for a few items but just put about how much they would cost.  Also the bike needs about $300 in repairs to be "good" again but it is still driveable and treating me well.

$0.16 per mile is pretty cheap compared to about $0.60 for a car!!!!

You're probably about due for another $.01 "blip" in the per mile cost:  New Rotors!  :)
