Just wondering. It's right between low and high, and i wanna top it of, but how much oil is that!? Maybe I'm lazy, but if someone knows, I can just pour in the right amount, and not have to top it of two - three times.

Okay... sounds like much! Are you sure about this? Almost wrecked my car-engine by filling in to much oil...

I vaguely remember Srinath stating that it was half a quart. Going to search for thread now.

Cool... tried to find something before i posted this... but no luck. Btw... could you translate that into something I can understand!? In Europe we work from the metric system! :-) I'm aware that an inch is 25.4 mm, but i'm not really in to the liquids! :-)

1 liter equals about a quart i think, so I'd start with about 1/4 of a liter

If a Quart is a quarter of an american gallon, I would agree... I'll just try about 250 ml, and then I'll take it from there. :-)  thanks for the help. Btw, great forum, nice and helpfull people! :-)

It's about 1 pint between full and add marks.  A pint is half a quart.

I gallon = 4 quarts

1 quart = 2 pints

1 gallon = 3.7854 liters

The standard for high/low dipstick marks - at least in the US, is a quart.

All of the 6 bikes I've owned have been about 1 pint between add and full marks.  All of the many automobiles I've ever owned for over half a century have been about 1 quart between marks.
