96 GS500, rejetted the carbs and my bike still won't work...

The brass jets:  Do I screw them all the way in so they sit snug or am i suppose to turn those out a specific amount...  Also, the screw that i got to by drilling out the brass plug, what do I do with that... Please help me get this darn thing started!!  :dunno:

Jets are supposed to be screwed in all the way ... OK dont crank them down like the lug nuts on a wheel ... but in all the way.
The brass plug drill out will expose the air mix screw ... set that to 3 turns out from lightly seated ... What is your float set to, and what you did with needle and you missing any O rings ... and of course are they in synch, and where is idle screw ... All of whihc may cause not running ...
Cool.

Not M4 - #4 - big difference. M4's are huge compared to #4.
Idle screw OK no precise way but open it a bit if its idling low and close it idling high ... It should be open a bit ... else bike will try to start but never hold idle.
