How much HP increase will you get if you do k&n air box, jet kit, slip on muffler and any other performance upgrade?  Too bad you can't put turbo on a GS cuz it's air cooled.  And is there anyone that can actually stunt good on a GS? Like high chair wheelies, circle wheelies, riding wheelies into 5th gear, riding stoppies for long periods, and all othose other technical tricks. Thanks!

There IS a turbo GS!  I don't know if it has been run yet.  Still under construction.  Altogether, probably not the best bike for the project.  Space seems to be limited.

The fastest GS's are probably Bob B's, Dgyver's, maybe but I could be wrong. Bob's has 4 valves per cylinder's and a list of other mods.  Dgyver may still be building 4 valve his motor.   They are also bigger bored motors, 550 or so cc.   I'm not sure if they have been dyno-ed.  But they are fast.

As far as stunting, the most proof I've seen of stunting ability comes from Hammu.  He is an odd sort of fellow and lives in Fineland, but I've seen him doing a lot of stoppies even with a passenger.  There is another guy that stands up on his seat, but I can't remember who that is.

In all, there are a lot of people here that are into track days, whether it be on a GS or a CBR or SV or TLR.  A few stunters.  More likely there are weekend wrenchers, commuters, and touring guys.

Id say that Bob B's, Dygver's, and that one guys that was in Sport Rider or whatever magazine that was would be the three best all around GS's.  I remember talking to Bob B a while back and he said he was keeping up with SV650's down the straights, thats pretty damn good for a GS.  Dygver has a cool project in the works that will definutly be a good runner if he can make it work.

Maybe it was you.  There is a picture somewhere in the wall of fame of somebody doing that.  If that is you, stop that!  It is dangerous!

There have been people that have tried to stunt a gs but the carbs dont opperate well at the angle required for most technical tricks like circles and highchairs.  and I would say that doing a wheelie at 5 to 10 mph is way more inpressive that one in 5th gear as in 5th gear the wind helps alot in stability.  But either way, it would be cool.  I have a pic in the wall of fame, its me doing a wheelie.

I have rode a bone stock GS before and was amazed how docile it is. Just a better exhaust, air fliter and ignition advance along with proper jetting really wakes it up. There is a dyno run link on the right side of the home page.

It is flattering that I get mentioned in the top. I keep wanting to do a dyno run on the 555, yeah yeah no more excuses.

Once I go back to Jennings, I will get a good idea of the benefit of the 79's. Before the 555, my best lap was 1:32 with the 75's when I walked down a R6 in a race. I caught him half way through the last lap. He did slow up with 3 turns left where I passed him....I was not finishing last! Really shows that the GS can handle the turns.

Like sprint_9 said, I am working on another motor. A lot of work needs to be done....4-valve head, bored & stroked. Depending which pistons I decide to use, it could end up well over 700cc. But if it all works.... better watch out! It is not as much for the desire for speed but the challenge of doing it. Just cannot leave anything the way it is.

Common sense in not very common.

I still think the fastest mod for a GS is still the C130 speed mod. You will never see a faster GS. Faster then any of the superbikes!

didn't they come out with a newer version? the C150 speed mod?...i heard that it's 5hp more than the C130...
