Bone Phones?

No, not the ancient (older than I am) stereos that rest speakers on your collarbones to conduct sound, but the new ones which rest on your temples and conduct sound directly through the skull to the bones in the inner ear, thus allowing you to listen to music, while still hearing road noise, without obstructing the ear, and without cranking the volume to deafen yourself. (The way I understand it, you can actually put in earplugs, and use bonephones, so you can hear music without being deafened by road noise)..

Anyone tried a pair, or know where I can get some? Only articles I've read said the consumer versions were available in some Asian country, but not here in the US yet. Anyone? Bueller?

Also, just a feeler, in case I can't get bonephones.. would anyone be willing to trade their pair of new (or very gently used) etymotic er6is (roughly $60 retail, online) for a brand new in the package pair of Bose Triport In Ear headphones (retail 99.99)?

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.
