chain maintenance

94suzuki500- what do you mean dont let it in idle in gear? Did someone really try cleaning their chain like that

uh oh, now someone's gonna post the pics, and they're nasty.

I'm the guy that posted the thumb picture last fall. I won't post it again since lots of people were freaked out.

I have lubed motorcycle chains for 2 decades that way and never had a problem. (Run bike and spray lube  from back and sides) I know others here have also done it w/out a problem.
