ok how to gut a stocker

what would be the best way to gut a stock exhaust canister?

Im assuming you would have to cut it down the middle and re weld it, but y go through the trouble just get a wiley co

You can in theory cut it at the point where the headers flare out into the can  and use a hole saw and get rid of the 2 layers of baffles and pretty much empty the inside out for a good 2 inch dia down the center and weld it back ... OK never tried it ...

just a few cuts a weld or two.  for the price of a little flux, a can o spray, and if the welds are for some odd reason beond my ability a case of beer for a friend of mine
( NOTE TO  SELF: {quality control} do NOT give him the beer untill he is done.)
