Getting really tired of this really fast. :x This time last year, you couldnt even beg for rain. Now that I want to ride............

Anyone need someone with 14 years of IT somewhere other than here?

I heard san diego is nice.  oh wait I live here.  yeah it's nice.

DarkCyDE

Right on. I will get over it. Its just a drag not being able to plan a real ride anywhere because I cant afford rain gear at the moment.  Is there such thing as a sun dance??

Hey Mike, June 14th is looking pretty good.

Your forecast looks like what Pittsburgh's looks like all the time.  They call this town the seattle of the east. We get like 59 fully sunny days a year.

JakeD-getting your nipple pierced is not crazy. Killing a drifter to get an errection? Now that's crazy!

We've had a pretty wet summer so far in the mid-west.  I bet the farmers are stoked.

Yeah, most people don't realize that. Here on Camano Island, we get 1/2 the rain of Seattle as we share your Olympic rainshadow.  I agree, though, that this year has been pathetic! Last year at this time the lawn was brown...and that was AFTER watering it. ;)

Check out the thrift stores. I'm serious. I found an REI rainsuit, which was probably ~$200 new, in new condition for.....(drum roll)... $5.  Its amazing what people get rid of and this time of year people are dumping winter gear. I've just said screw it, I'm not going to wait anymore for sun. So far the rainsuit has worked really well.

on that note, I picked up a aerostich roadcrafter two piece for 180 the other day, the only problem with it is that the zipper sticks on the left leg.

Snowboarding pants...  They work pretty well...
Mink-Oil on my steel-toe work boots...  Works fine...
Spray-on water proofing on my thin leather gloves...  Doesn't really work, but it's better than nothing.
4 year old used Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket...  Works as long as the vents are ACTUALLY closed.[/list:u]And...  there ya' go!  Ghetto rain suit.

Riding in the rain is actually kinda cool sometimes...  Depends on what you're doing.  Commuting in the rain isn't what I'd call fun, but it isn't bad.

I've only driven to work 3 times since I've had my GS...  One was because my helmet hadn't come in yet.  One was because I had to pick up someone at the airport.  And the last one was because I broke the
oil filter cover stud-bolt.   :thumb:

Im not against riding in the rain, just would like to see the sun once in a while. Got this bike club started here and it looks like our first ride might not even happen. Just getting old is all.

Good idea on checking Goodwill and other thrift stores, William.

Will head over there tomorrow, if its not raining too hard :-)
