So now my new set up is..

.40 pilots
150 main jets
2 shims on the needle

Jury is still out on A/F mix screw..

and of course a carbon fiber exhaust can from a WRX..

No worrys, I will post pics..

It is the exact same length as  the stock can and only *slightly* bigger in diameter..

I believe the stock can is 4 7/8 inches..
This one is 5.5.. So 5/8 inch diameter larger, I doubt you'll be able to tell at 70Mph...  

I'm hopeing for a smooth connection at the muffler shop and for a really cool sound...

It has that removable baffle.. I'll let you guys know how that makes things different..

It'll probably keep all the animals off of the (twisty!) road as you ride around Beaver Lake.   :lol:

But you might want to bring the baffle along and put it back in for tooling through Eureka Springs.  The tourists might get mad at you.  :mrgreen:

The tourists aren't the problem..
It seems like the police in that area have made it their mission to ticket every biker that comes through without stock pipes..

I dont know what kind of problems they have had there in the past, but what they are doing is working.. I know a lot of guys that wont go back to Eureka..

I got something similar on my car.   I developed a rattle inside my car.....change in the ash tray  I now have a second muffler mounted under the car and it helped.   With my silencer installed all my friends think it sounds like a big sportbike when it gets above 6,000rpm.


It will be loud, very loud....

Trim the tip a little for looks and keep the silencer in place.

I have an 8 hour round trip ride coming up on Saturday so I should have all the work done and pics posted by then..

I'm just going to take it down to a muffler shop and have them install it.. No need to muck it up by monkeying with it myself..

I have the new 150 jets for the carbs and new needles and shims for the carb jets.. (one of mine was badly bent..)

This should be fun!
