Suzuki paint code list

I have found a couple of links if anyone is interested.  I don't recall seeing any such list of color codes in the forum before so I thought this might be a good data point.

Anyway, I will attempt to paint the tank on my 89 with the original "pearl novelty black" color.  The plan is to use chemical stripper and sand everything down.  The coats will be applied with Preval sprayer.  I had a pin hole leak (inside/underside of the infamous "crap trap" pocket) that was patched with JB Weld, but I don't intend to redo the patch as I have already PORed the tankafter applying the JB Weld.  It is holding up very well so far and I would hate to take any unnecessary risk.  The tank seems to be otherwise dent free.  There were some rust spots here and there that I had sanded off and covered with leftover POR.  That made the tank looked even worse, but what the hell.  Hopefully the chemical stripper will take out the POR spots as well.

I have pretty much read and reread and reread some more all the threads and links on painting and I will formulate a plan from all those info soon.  But any input is welcomed, of course.

This week I'll be checking with the local Sherwin Williams Automotive to see if they can match the paint.

P.S.  Apparently,  according to this, FARG is color and FARGKOD is color code.  Who knew?
