cylinder head swap Interchangeability?

I just purchased a 1999 GS500, that needs a new cylinder head.  I am looking for a used head, and wondering what years will fit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

All years (89-05) will fit. There are a couple on ebay now.
Common sense in not very common.
