rear break sqweek??

my GS500F has bout 750 Mi.  on it...and  the rear break sqweeks sooo loud....i use it along with the front when i stop so  its not like im killing it already...i use more front break,  and that one is fine....any info??

That's funny. My rear break started squaling around 500 miles. It was quiet before that. Now, I am at 2200 miles and it is still noisy... :guns:

Mine squeaks if I'm not using the front brake enough.  You can try putting anti-squeal on the back of the pad - or you can hit the front brake harder.

Most squeaks are caused by brake dust..
Most can be recified by cleaning the drum with some good spray brake cleaner..

Its a pain to get your back wheel off to do it, but if the squeak is bothering you then it will be worth it..  Its not going to cost you but a couple of bucks for some spray cleaner and a rag..

While you are in there, it may be a good time to do some other preventive maintenance..

they squeak.
mine usually goes away when i have the back wheel off and I get a chance to clean things up, but it comes back.  I've tried using anti-squeal (the silicone grease stuff), but eventually it comes back.  I think it's a combination of brake dust and the general gunk that gets thrown up by the back wheel.

I've got about 7500 km on my GS (only 2300 of them were me   )  but my back brake squeals like a stuck pig.  I drive to work at 7:00 in the morning and I find myself going front brake only because it seems so loud in the early morning quiet.

I'm going to try the anti-squeal.  I don't feel ambitious enough to be pulling the back wheel off yet

he is from arkansas go easy on him....haha just playin.
To get rid of the rear brake sqeak take the pads out and clean the back side and apply some 1207b somthing similer(gasket sealer), to the back side, only a small amount just to coat the pad and then put the little shiny metal things back on over the goop and install in the bike, let dry and now more squeky brake.  I put some on about 5000 miles ago and it has just now started to slightly squeak.  Works well but put it on the back side directly on the pad, slight amount only where the little metal thing goes and put back in and let dry.  The 1207b is the suzuki sealant incase anyone was wondering.
