Can anyone one suggest a good exhaust system for a GS500F

Hi everyone,
I been looking for an  exhaust system for my 2004 GS 500f, i have been to several dealers here in NYC and they can't seem to recommend anything. i was looking at the vance and hines system for the gs 500e but I am not sure if they will fit since the the gs 500f has a lower fairing.
any suggestions you have will be greatly appreciated
P.S.  
Do you have any other Mod idea or suggestion that i can use to make this bike a little faster?

Vance and hines system wil fit an F but my suggestion is srinith flange wileyco special.  IMHO you can't beat the price, i paid 90 and installed myself, the sound is great, and looks sweet Good Luck

OK flange and wileyco ... OK dont blame me ... I am just plugging them ... I make flange ... wileyco is $50 from dennis kirk.

first off Welcome!! There are tons of threads on here about exhaust. At the top, do a search on exhaust. and read threw some of what people have come up with. There are a ton of different options in exhaust and mods that you will find on here.  Some of the more popular are:
Wilyco Exhaust
rejetting
changing the rear shock out for Katana 600
progressive front springs
K&N lunchbox air filters
Body mods
swingarm mods
etc.......
So look around, read what you can, Search the forum and ask questions when the answer isnt clear in the forum and enjoy your GS

I myself went with the Yamaha 2004 R6 exhaust
Others have used anything from CBR600 to Fart can car exhaust!

does the r6 exhaust sound pretty sweet ? and was it the stock r6..or an aftermarket for the r6  THanks

The R6 is really quiet. seems to peak the rpm band from about 4 to 11 a little better ( seat of the pants Dyno ) flows really well but you can sit on the bike, on the fone and not have to cut the engine off for someone to hear ya.

If your looking for in your face loud, this isnt the pipe for you.

The Wileyco is pretty loud and throaty.  Srinath's flange fit perfectly.  With the Wileyco, K&N replacement air filter and rejet, the bike rides and sounds amazing.

ok i know this will sound a bit knoobish but which wileyco did you guys get? just the slip on? and with all these crazy taxi in new york city i do need that in your face loudness =P

Dennis kirk has on ebay a closeout type dealio on YZF and GSXR wileyco's ... down to the last 3-4 ... that is what I have patterned my flange for ... get that  ... I'll see if I can post a link.

My dealer on LI tried to sell me a full system for around $550!! :nana:
Aint happening!!
I think I'm gonna go with Srinath's flange.
