Quote from: FaxxxyWe will see how much rain it actually sees in 6 months..

Generally they are inside if there is a chance of rain..  :dunno:
yeah... I didn't really think about your location or the fact that it's almost summer...

Around here rain is more of a guarantee than a chance. :nana:

This had nothing to do with HP..
When I bought the bike, it was a piece of sh!t..
It idled great, but that was it.. It didint go down the road.. :x

Had I known that before I made the 4 hour drive home with it in the back of the truck, I would have never bought it.. :x

The moron who had it before me put a lunchbox on a stock pipe..
Although there were MAJOR exhaust leaks around the header, it still was too restrictive to handle the lunchbox and the wild 147.5 jets he stuck in the carbs only seemed to aggrivate the situation..

I took it all back to factory in the carbs and it ran just okay until I could afford to put a straight through exhaust on it..

It has taken me nearly two months to undo all the crap this moron did to this bike, but other then a fuel delivery problem, it is finally mechanically lined out..

So far everyone who has seen it in person has loved it..

Now we get to start doing cosmetic work!!!!      :)        8)

Right on, would still be really interested to see the numbers on it if you ever do run it threw a dyno. might be interesting to see.  Ya never know, you might start a trend Can never tell how well something will preform until its tried

P.S.> still looks too short :P LOL
People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs.

The Buddha

Yea some clowns sell wiley co for more ... I bought from anysunday parts.com ... it was $85 to my door. $75 and 10 shipping. Now I also saw DK have same type prices at that time ... now that wileyco is awol from DK its pretty much free range I guess ...

Its not length, but girth that gives "the pleasure"..  ;)  ;)

The Lazy Destroyer

Yea, if I did this, I'd hack off the tip and weld on a more appropriate one. This would also keep the sound slightly more reasonable. Other than that, it looks just fine IMO.

If Barry White was a motorcycle, this is what he would sound like..
One things is for sure, little brother won't be sneaking up on anyone with this baby on his bike..
And it looks d@mn sexy too..

55 dollars *shipped* from e-bay
38.24 Seeberg muffler shop in Springdale, Arkansas to weld it on..

I still need to clean and repaint the welds, but thats all part of it...

Almost all of my acceleration problems have gone away..
Still have a small decell problem, but I think its an air/fuel adjustment..

150 main jets
.40 pilots
2.5 turns A/F
K&N Lunchbox
1 shim on the needle (because I lost the other two and can't find anymore :x )

hummm... isnt this funny.

looks like almost the same setting i sold you the bike with as seen in this post

any yet you make a libel comment about me here

seems like to me you need to admit to being the wrong one by "tinkering" with the carbs and owe me an apology.

So you had a CF exhaust on there hwne I bought it??
So you had 150 main jets in the carbs when I bought it??

You made the comment that you had completely rebuilt it and that it would make a two hour trip with no problems.. It ran for 7 miles...

You lied to me to sell me the bike, you misrepresented its mechanical state and you should probably thank your lucky stars I didnt take you to small claims court..

I would walk away quietly now if I were you..

BUMP..

Because someone asked me what set-up I was using..

Jake D

Since missed this on June 29th, I give my $.02.

I am surprised that I didn't laugh right away.  It actually looks nice.

I think the short can is in vogue.  I like the short stubby can (it is a stuning thing, though I don't stunt).

I sort of agree that if you had the tip cut off and left it flat on the back it would be super dope.

I figure it will give the kiddies a chance to ask Santa for a WRX can for Christmas..

makenzie71

just kinda stumbled upon this...

This is exactly what I did with my girl's EX500 last year when we needed an exhaust, only I used a stainless can.

The thing sounds straight up bad ass.  I-Twins with BIG exhausts just sound cool as hell.  I'll get a clip up of the Ninja.  Somewhat awkward looks but damn do they sound awesome...almost as slick as my TL with turn-downs.

maybe, but damn that looks terrible.  sorry to be harsh, but that pipe has no business on that bike.
