front left signal light won't flash

hey guys, I was driving home tonight and i put my signal light on and it isn't flashin it comes on but just won't flash just a steady light, not blinking er nuttin. what could be wrong??? My tach light went out but thats just a loose bulb happened before could that cause it thanks.
