Apparently these bikes are fairly difficult to purchase.  Everyone I called either had just sold it 20 mins before, or backed out deciding to keep the bike.

But with alot of luck, I ran across this bike, 1998 with just under 2,000 miles on it.  It's got essentially everything already done to it that I was looking to add/modify, which is both a good and bad thing.  I don't really get to tinker with the bike too much aside from general maintenance, but at least I saved some money!  The price I paid was in the same range as what early 90's GS500s with 7,000+ miles were going for.

The guy I purchased it from was super cool, probably spent 2-3 hours just telling me about the bike, and answering any questions I had.  It's always awesome to find an experienced enthusiast who is willing to take the time to help/talk with a newcomer.  Now I just need to learn how to ride the thing :)

Enough chit chat, on with the pictures..

Took a picture of the front fairing... Came out a little dark because the flash reflected off of the headlight.  If you want better shots, I can post em tomorow when its light out.  I pulled it off yesterday to see how she looks w/o it, and I think this fairing makes a HUUUGE difference in the appearance of this bike.  I really like it.

Congrats from another Atlanta GSer, Crim.  The bike looks great!  One of these days we should really get an Atlanta meet set up.  In my 4 months and 3k+ miles of riding I've only seen one other GS on the road .. and that was at a GSB newbie ride.

In any case, congrats again.

Nice buy, nice color :thumb: Wow, still has the sticker on the tank.  Interesting to see the Targa fairing in black on the orange bike.  To see what it looks like in orange, click on my crappy webpage below.
