I've noticed that also; the girls that only go for "jerky" guys are extremely immature and lack self-esteem.

But as Leykis listeners have heard time and time again is that the women with the lowest self-esteem are usually the most beautiful, because it's not enough to just be a "10", they must still strive to be "perfect" because the feel they are expected to.  Another Leykis tenet is that a woman's beauty is inversely proportionate to her intelligence, meaning(dumbed down) that the "hotter" the woman, the dumber she is.  Beautiful women have never been expected to really accomplish anything except maintain their beauty and will always have somebody willing to support them.  It is generally the ugly women that have had to become educated and  independantly accomplished because they have not been afforded the luxury of the beautiful woman.

Leykis is admittedly like the ugly woman.  He's had to work crappy jobs in small towns for the majority of his life but has finally reached a high level of success, if success is measured by the number of commas inbetween the numbers on the bottom line of your bank account statement.  "I'm hideous!  I'm a one!"  Tom says,  "But my wallet is a 10!"  So the only women that care about money are gold digging whores?  Maybe but Tom also says that they never see a cent of it...they just like to be near it and collect the table scraps and whatever falls on the floor.

Where to even start?

Well, for openers, with how excessively relative "attractive" is.  Beautiful to a) is OK to b) and ugly to c) and skanky to d).  I am currently really digging a certain guy, and a friend of mine absolutely does not see the attraction.  And I don't get the guys she thinks are swooningly hot.  Ditto for the straight guys I know; some of them go for women I agree are hot, some think a woman is hot who I think is just hideous.  There are no absolutely beautiful people; it's all relative.

And intelligence is something you develop for its own sake, not because you "have" to.  Intelligence, logic, learning; they are all great fun and make this world more interesting.  Screw "have" to.  That's like saying I "had" to learn to ride; I did it because I wanted to.  
I have noted no correlation, negative or positive, between intelligence - practical or academic - and attractiveness.

i saw a special on beauty on TLC once (biogeek anyone?).  i learned two interesting things. one, is that beauty is heavily dependent on your culture. so, across the world, the standards of beauty vary widely, i.e. fat vs skinny, etc. the second thing is that across cultures, the subjective "beauty" was very closely linked to symmetry.  so the most attractive faces were those closest to being perfectly symmetrical.

I've known countless women that are both extremely attractive, with intelligence and a healthy level of self esteem. I've seen no link between physical attractiveness and intelligence. I've also known some women that are homely in both appearence AND intelligence.

I HAVE noticed a direct link between PERSONALITY and ATTRACTIVENESS.

In GENERAL, most of the more physically attractive girls I've encountered were also the most BORING. They got through life relying on LOOKS, not SUBSTANCE. And there is nothing worse than dating a beautiful but BORING woman. It would be better to look at a picture, and save yourself the drama of dealing with her crap.

I don't consider anyone a "god".  I'm not religious, though I respect Leykis' ability to appeal to the masses and how he has made an extremely successful career out of being a "know-it-all".

Nope, what's the hurry?  I'm 28, and my priority right now is to get my doctorate and enjoy my spare time.  If the right person comes along, I'd marry, but I'm certainly not going to marry just because I have a timeline for it.  Marrying, like the general attractiveness question, is very personal, and I just haven't met the right person yet.  I've met some very cool guys and had a lot of fun with them, and I've tended to stay friends when we find we're not the share-life-as-partners pair.
I'm not going to look for someone that society says is the consensus for attractiveness and marry him!   :lol:

While I said earlier that attractiveness and intelligence are uncorrelated in my experience, I will say that those who derive their income from their attractiveness tend to be very much on the lower end of the intelligence scale.  Making money from attractiveness is dull work, and intelligent people like to use their brains.  So they tend to find a means of employment that uses said brains.
