What diameter is the front rotor?

(Walked out to bike with trusty metal ruler in hand, realizing that the axle is in the way, manage to estimate...) 12 inches. (But after measuring what 12 inches is with the metric side of the ruler...) 310mm (this should take into account the axle being in the way).

3rd Edit: (You know how the Japanese like to make everything in even numbers...290mm rotors, 320mm rotors...)

Cool! Thanks :thumb:

I thought it was around that size. Not sure if the offset of the rotor will work though. May have to go with a different rotor, one with a flat carrier. 320mm is the desired size.

Just working out the details for street'tarding my XR with GS wheels.

Will you be able to squeeze a caliper between the rim and a 320mm rotor?
Edit: Never mind, I remember that R1's use 320mm rotors on 17in rims.

I had heard that GS wheels were used on some of the early motards before the $600+ spoked wheels now. Here is an idea of what it would look like...

Just matching up axle and bearing sizes and making a few spacers and I will be street 'tarding  ;)

Yep, that is what I have planned. Not going with the Baja Designs kit since it is almost $500 and still need the stator rewound for another $120. I have most the parts from other bikes to do the conversion. So for less than $200 I could have it street legal.
