Hey guys, I hope you can help me out with this problem.  So I go to start my 04gs500f this morning and it won't start.  It almost turns over but doesn't, it will make a clicking noise by the battery.  I checked it out and im still not sure if there's a decent connection to the battery.  I just have the loop from the wire going onto a screw which is connected to a nut which connects to the battery.  It had been working fine.  I left it out in the rain without the cover, do you think that could have damaged something? spark plugs? im clueless but i think the problem is towards the battery end.  Thanks in advance guys.

Heh. Im having the exact same problem. Over in my thread someone said that the battery was dead, and that it was strong enough to power the lights, but not the solinoid(sp?). Mine coughs about two times, and then I hear clicks under my seat until I let go of the Start button.

The battery needs to be recharged. Get a 2amp 12volt charger and charge the battery. Also, check the fluid levels in the battery, a dry battery will not hold a charge. Fill with distilled water only, up to the high level marks.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago.  Had lights and horn and all that, but got a clicking when i tried the starter.  turned out to be a dead battery.  the battery held a charge, but when you put a load on it (trying to start it), it was no good.  Got a replacement battery and the thing fired up right away.

Hope that helps
