got my new bars on

well, i finally got my 1989 gs back and first things first was to get rid of those annoyingly uncomfortable drag bars.  i decided to run an ATV bar since they sweep out real far and rise up tall.  i bought the o'neal ATV steel bar.  it fit on perfect and make the bike seem to handle a lot more predictable.  pics will be up soon.  next mod- acerbis cyclops headlight.

What kind of bars were on yours stock? The usual 89 GS500 comes with factory clip-ons, did yours?

If that's what you took off (clip-ons), let me know and I'll buy them for sure.

well, the bike is some form of rat bike.  it came w/ drag bars but still has holes to mount the bars on the triple clamp.  if i had them i would sell them, but i dont.

Does the frame still have the Suz sticker with the manufacture date? The letter designation of the frame # tells you what year the bike is, not the man. date.

Those 89 bars and top tree are coveted by many.
