2. what is the flange list thats in the forum? what r u ppl buying?

The meaning of radial pertaining to brakes is that they are mounted in-line, straight out (radially) from the axle.

Radial tires have the metal cords or belt running lengthwise in the tire carcass.

I believe the flange is to be able to mount a Wileyco slip-on exhaust canister while still being able to use stock, or close to stock jetting.

the flange is a custom-made piece of exhaust pipe.  It is used to mount a Wileyco brand aftermarket exhaust can to the GS.  One end is flared out and slips over the stock exhaust pipe right underneath the right foot peg (you cut everything from there back off first).  Then the pipe bends in the same shape as the stock pipe.  The terminal end has a flat mounting plate with 3 holes drilled in it that mates up with the front of the exhaust can.  The can bolts on.
