Unfortuneately I'm not dreaming....My bike fell over against the car!  Was in the garage just finishing up getting my back wheel on, putting the cotter pin in as a matter of fact.  The bike was on the sidestand with a block under it to make it more level so I could stretch the string to align the wheel.  It was leaning to the stand side enough that it would not just fall over but I nuged it or something and it started to go, me sitting behind it with my legs on each side of the tire.  Reached for the grab bar to try and stand it up but no luck.  Bike sit leaning against the cars front fender at a 60 degree angle.  Broke the mirror on the bike, put a tiny little scratch on the front fairing up by the mirror, dented the hell out of the cages fender, and my foot got crushed somewhere in there :dunno:   Could have been worse but you know how it goes...off to find a mirror

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing.  I never, ever dropped my bike while on it, but when I was changing the tires (while the back wheel was still off) I bumped the bike and it fell off the milk crate it was sitting on.  I was so mad, I picked the bike up, by myself, and sat it back on the milk crate.  I still don't know how I did that  :dunno:

Stephen, for some reason your story reminds me of this story I heard once bout how this old frail lady was able to pick up a car and move it when her grandson was crushed under it. Adrenaline(sp?) does funny things to your body I guess. You must LOVE your bike :-p

I'm not talking trash here, but... How much are those moto-stands that lock on the front wheel?

The mid-road ones are about $50 right?

2 days ago I was really annoyed because gf asked me to move 'some furniture' out of a house and take it to the dump.
I asked a cousin to help me out and he 'declined' my petition. then gf asked some 'friends' and they said 'yes', but never showed up... :x

I was so mad that I ended loading a big moving truck all by myself: big couch, 2 recliners, a huge fridge, several tables, 2 king size matresses, a big metal desk and some bookshelves (compressed wood).

I was so pissed that I didn't realized how heavy everything was, and I finished by midnight.
I went to bed and next day I was even more pissed because I was tired and I still had to take all that stuff to the dump.

Long story short: after dumping all and paying a whooping 95 dollars for it at the dump, I realized I hurt my back and my shoulders.
I was honestly surprised at how much I could do by myself (with some help from anger and adrenaline)  :o

oh yeah, I like my bike too and I haven't dropped it yet.
Caturday yet?

Heh, just wanted to recap my wonderful week, it is a long read beware    I did forget to mention I hate the service department at the dealer.  I dont know if all this is bad karma or what?  I consider myself a considerate and helpful person, well most of the time anyway.  I went to pick up my wheels before the tipover incident and the service department guy is behind the counter sitting in front of the computer with the phone up to his ear.  I am in plain view waiting on the other side of the counter with my paperwork in hand.  The guy is not speaking or nothing to whomever is on the phone and he is just staring at the screen on the comp.  Well about 4 minutes go by and I am starting to loose patients when he said "I'll be with you in a moment."  Right before he said that a mechanic had walked up and was standing just off to my side.  Well the mechanic looks at me and says "He will be with you in a minute."  I am thinking OK smartass we both just heard him say that and gave him a funny look like WTF.  Then the guy on the phone/computer asks if I had a question or somthing.  I tell him I was there to pick up my wheels and I already paid and pointed to them setting at my feet.  "Oh, go ahead man" is all he said.  Did not even want to see the paperwork to be sure I had actually paid or was not going to grab one of the other three sets of wheels that were leaning against the counter.

Fast forward to that night and the bike fell over like I posted above.  Well Friday I decided to ride in to work like I usually do and pulled up, kill engine, lock bars lean the bike to the side stand WHOA too far and trying to muscle it back up but no luck and it layed down gently on my right leg... :x completely over with my leg pinned under up to my knee.  I manage to get my leg out and set it back up just as a fellow worker walks by and says "It'd help if you put the kickstand down"  :guns: The LEFT mirror is now scratched all to hell and the front signal is also scuffed really bad.  Luckily no other damage but the pride.

Found two new mirrors on ebay for like 56 bucks which should be here Tuesday.

and I had a set of LP signals waiting to be installed...

Hopefully all my bad luck is over, just needed to vent a little.  Just glad my GS is on it's way to looking nice again.
