well.....I can only comment on the kan-o-tuna, since that's the only one of your options I've ridden (owned)......handled well......speed was fine.....cost was the issue for getting rid of it.....my ins company decided to classify it as a superbike......cost went from $700/yr to $4kish/yr......

the only drawbacks to it are the following:

- not many aftermarket parts/accessories
- fairings were a pain to remove EVERY time I wanted to get to any part of the engine
- front end style.....I don't know what it is about those headlights, but they are amongst the ugliest things available......additionally, the plastics around them never met flush, there was always a gap......

is there any particular reason you are limiting yourself to these 2 bikes??.....I can't argue with someone getting the bike that there heart is set on, but personally, I love my SV.............
PETE: It's four in the funking morning!

SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!

Well personaly the Kawi. is going to better in the long run....It's got liquid cooling and an oversized fan from the zx-1200.... I've ridden on the katana 600 which is very similar to the 750. I agree the fairings are a pain in the great-ol-behind. Just because it has plastic ya insurance companies see MAD $$$$$ to cover you....they Kawi it naked....they have to look harder at the data to classify it as a supersport/sport bike
Motorcycle's are God's greatest creation; turning gas into noise with acceleration & power as side effects

maybe a lil off topic, but if you like the naked inline 4's, check out the kawi z1000... i think it's pretty sweet and looks way nicer than either of the 750's.  also, if you think the z1000 is too big, then you don't really need either 750 and should stick to the sv650.  there's nothing really in the range of a 750 that a 650 can't do except MAYBE to test new top speeds.... but that's just my opinion, you're gonna write the check  :thumb:

The Z1000 is lovely.  I put it into the Naked Bikes That I Would Love To Own If They Were Lower Displacement And Lighter category, along with the BMW K1200R and Tuono 1000 (heck, they get a Tuono 50 overseas!).

I F'ing LOVE that Z1000 last year in the burnt orange color.  Black was nice too.  Just don't need a 1000.  awful perty tho.
