Was I supposed to do something?

Ok, so I'm riding back to my house on friday when off a side ramp comes a group of bikes.  All sport bikes (liter bikes by the looks of them) all ridden by guys with your typical short sleeves, shorts, no gloves etc.

Anyway, they all merge in front of me and the last two keep turning around and looking at me.  They don't make any signs, they just keep turning around.  I'm thinking "uhh... ok?"  

Anyway, then one of them decides to show off and pops a wheelie. Cool.

Then sits on his tank.  Cool.

Then tries to pop a wheelie while sitting on his tank - and almsot crashes - Idiot.  

All the time the other rider keeps looking back at me every so often.  It was just a bizarre experience... were they expecitng me to start stunting too?

The EXACT same thing happend to me here a while ago.. A rather large pack merges in front of me from a highway offramp. All rough looking dudes with mohawks and spikes glued to their helmets.. the last two guys just waved once then kept looking back at me when we were sitting at the stoplight. No motions to come up or anything, just staring at me.  the light turned green and they were gone.. One guy with his feet on the passenger pegs popping wheelies all the way down the road.

I was thinking that they had prolly never heard of or seen a GS500f before and were trying to figure out what it was that I riding?

Probably looking for cops behind them, if they are stunting that is.  I know if I am gonna be speeding I check behind when getting on the highway and look at all the on ramps as I go by.  Mirrors are useless.

I had a guy on the freeway cross over 3 lanes, pull in front of me, then popped a wheelie...in the 70 zone.

Actually I was impressed, but my sense of his stupidity outweighed it.  I just don't think a crowded freeway is the place.

Not a bad guess...  I was on a road that is pretty close to a cop station, so its always crawling with cruisers - I'm sure they knew that too.

Might have been.  One was wearing a shirt that had the name of some riding group on the back of it ( it looked hand made )  Can't remember the name though =(

They're the one's I always see in L.A. area. Not sure how widespread they are.
