Quote from: DanielyWent for a nice ride to a local park outside of the city for lunch. It was good :). I think im just going to take a loan out, and buy a newer truck. Like a taco or somethin. Somethin I can drive if I dont wanna ride the bike. As of right now the CBR is all I have for a vehicle.

Dan, I've got a 2004 Tacoma V6 4WD. You know how we all feel here about our GS's? That's also how I feel about the Tacoma. It is absolutely as close to a perfect truck as you can get, imo.

Not sure if I want a 2 wd or a 4 wd. If i get a 2wd its gonna be a pre-runner, if I get the 4wd ill lift it 4inches and have some fun. Im gonna talk to my parents and see about getting a loan for a new truck. I have 2500 so far that i have set aside for a truck, so another 4500 on top of that would be a good loan and give me plenty for a truck.

there is a reason my riding style has changed

a few broken bones will really open your eyes

after i broke my sholder so many months ago i swore that i would never ride without a helmet jacket and gloves at the very least

last week it was in the 100's here in Reno and i kept my heavy and damn hot leather jacket on (just picked up a mesh jacket :) (thanks Pablo for your info :thumb: , but it does come in other colors other than red)).

but lately i have been very, very paranoid while on the road
lots o' mental images of people cutting me off and bad stuff happening
this can be good and bad

keeps me on my toes but sometimes i just want to stop riding
its really starting to get to me

When I picture the pool of people starting to ride I picture a turtle egg nest, there are hundreds of us buried beneath the sand and when we hatch we attempt to move to the water to better ourselves, but dueo to predators and other unfortunate circumstances a lot of us don't make it. Many MANY people quit riding when tragedy strikes, its not a bad thing, but it is common and i can't say that the majority ever become experienced, luckily you and I are browsing a forum that has a large bulk of experienced riders thought to be rare but are seemingly common here.

Take this as a lesson learned and use it to better yourself

We all fall down sir

Now it is time to pick yourself back up....

Cheers,
Alex
