Helmet Testing and Standards

Hope this isn't a repost...

I was sent the link to this article at motorcyclist online about helmets and the standards they're built to.  Very long, the first half is a big build up, then the second half is the the actual tests they ran.  Worth reading or at least skimming through if you have a short attention span.  Very interesting results; I'm not sure what to think.

Yeah, we kicked this around not long after the article came out. As the print says, it basically is a controversy based on whose expert you want to believe.

Almost any full coverage helmet that is DOT or Snell rated is better than no helmet. MCyclist was trying to rate things based on more of a real application situation.

It was a good read though.
