Wow... I pay $76/ year on my 2001 GS500 for insurance.  Male, married, 33, no kids, gainfully employed, Texan.

Which company?  I am in Texas too, and I haven't been able to get any cheaper than Progressive.

Mine is Progressive.  Weird.

Damn!  Do you have an agent you go through?  I feel like I'm getting taken advantage of.

Just my 2cents. I had an 01 GSXR750, and my big bro had the 1000. I loved both, but the only complaint I had about the 750 was that for one, (this is a big one) the 600 had 5 less hp and was just as fast, especially when you put a sprocket and exhaust, and jets on it. Two, I burned through gallons of gas with my 750 totally wraped out chasing my brother through north Texas on his 1000. I only rode the 1000 a few times, and it was a lot of fun. For the money and performace, you just can't beat the 600.

Nope...  I did it online.  I should have mentioned that I have the barest minimum insurance to be legal... no extras.
