Once again, which way is reserve?

Repeated posts point to on-going difficulty remembering "Where in the #*@%$ is reserve?" Put a little dab of red (r for "reserve" paint on the petcock to indicate where to direct the fuel position lever. Admittedly it doesn't work too well at night, but during daylight, all I need to do is glance down, notice the red spot on the petcock, and I'm reminded of where my fuel setting is, or, as I'm sputtering and running low on the main, where I need to position the lever.
It's not how fast you go, rather "how" you go fast!

i think that some years were different but mine goes like this, (94) down=on, straight foward=Reserve, up=prime.  you could always just look at it when off the bike, it says on the petcock.
