Hole in tank, Seattle HELP

I was stripping the paint off my tank for a re-paint and noticed the underneath side has some kind of epoxy patch in the left corner, and it is leaking GAS.  it is not leaking much because I didn't notice it when it was on the bike, but I can definitely see and smell gas coming out of the patch.

I think the best thing to do would be to weld the hole shut so if there is a fellow GStwinner in the Seattle area that has a welder and is willing to help me it would be greatly appreciated. If not is there anything else I could do to patch it (re-epoxy :dunno: ).

Weld it ... please ... do not put bandaids, chewing gum, duct tape, sweat soaked rags ... nothing ... take it to someone who can weld thin metal and weld it, pressure test it ... might as well weld the other side too ... cos its just likely to be as bad ... Heck acid etc it first ... and then tap around with a screw driver ... quite hard .... no gentle kitten poking around ... if you blow through it ... yup ... weld it. Then coat the inside with Kreem/POR ... whatever ...

anyone know of a good place to get a weld in Seattle?
Or do I have any other options?
I know someone else has had this problem. what did you do? how did it hold?

well i swapped my crappy tank for your good one.  thanks.   I remember Dom saying something about being able to weld, don't remember what it was though.
