My bike looses power in the ON position but if i switch the petcock to PRIME it seems to run okay.  Is it alright to keep it on PRIME all the time?

Short answer: Yes ... usually.

Extra tip: You may want to turn it back to ON when you turn the bike OFF.

For more info, do a search on "fuel starvation".

I Have to run on prime all the time :) I can leave it on prime mostly. But if I have a full tank of gas the pressure is too much I guess and the carbs will overflow. So most times I just put it on "on" witch is acctually "off" :) when the bike isnt running  :thumb:
