Am I correct in assuming that most of the information in the '89-'02 Clymer manual still applies to the 2004 bike?

yep, just about everything. other than the carbs and the oil cooler.

the electrical schematic is slightly different...i have a copy here if you need or do a search....there is a link on here somewhere to it.
