Another track day left in these?

I know there's a strip, but that's where the side stand hits...

Plenty of tread, but I'm wondering about the shredding.

how bad were they slipping at the end of the last few sessions? If no slipping I'd say one more trackday left. Whats with the sidestand hitting them causing those horrible-for-you chicken strips?? Just get the bike leaned over farther.

The sidestand isn't hitting them - it's scraping the ground.  3b, if you know PR.

Being so aggressively lowered really isn't helping with clearance, I imagine.

Does the shinyness of the tires not indicate hardness from too many heat cycles?  I'm just asking, I really don't know anything about track tires except watching car racing on TV...

Then I'd have to bring the rearstand to track days, which is a tough bugger to strap on the back of a bike...

Maybe I should just trade it in on that GSXR1000.

3 bike payments? you're an addict in need of intervention and should let your e-friends take your bikes until you're "ready" again

Roadstergal

You can pry the keys out of my cold dead hands!

It'd only be two payments if I traded in the GS, too...    :nana:

But then I wouldn't have a GS.  :(

davipu

but you'd have a gs xr just cross out the xr and it'll be a fast gs

Hmm, I could do a re-vinyl on it.

But considering how well y'all chipped in on the Yoyo and Dave's Plan...  :P  :)

or bring tools and stand it up against a wall...

I misunderstood the sidestand issue-I thought it was rubbing the tire and thats why there was such a big chickenstrip...you'd have more trackdays on that tire if you got on the side of the tire more....

I canna change the laws of physics, captain!  A sidestand and pavement cannot occupy the same space at the same time. :p

just do like a friend of mine did, hack off the sidestand with a dremal, have a sleave welded onto the bottom half and drill a hole through the top part of the sleave and the part of the sidestand still attached to the bike and poof an easily removable sidestand.  At least it works ok for him.

edit he uses a bolt with a lock nut to attach the two.
