Is it possible to fit higher bars on an 89 model. (the one with drop bars) My back has JUST started giving be problems after over 40 years of rdiing and I think that maybe Im ready for some bars a bit higher. If modifications are needed has anyone carried out this operation.

you can swap the top triple over to a newer one and the bars will be a couple of inches higher.
