Took the bike for a ride today (second ride ever) and in my travels I dropped the bike at .002 mph (doohhhh!!!!) pulling into a gas station.  Glad I followed advice and didn't get a brand new bike!!  Haha, anyways no damage (or so I thought) except to my ego as there were a bunch of people around.  Anyways, after the drop and since the bike has been acting very weird in regards to turning the key on.  When I go to start it a lot of times the lights will not turn on and no juice starts flowing (no start or anything).  I thought at first maybe it was neutral safety switch or possibly clutch switch, but I got to thinking that it should turn on with lights and all, just not crank over.  Oh, and the bike fell on the right side.  If I shake the bike around it will come on/off and sometimes when I go to hit the start button it will just click and go out until I turn the key off again, and on again, and shake it again until it comes back on, then hit the start button again and maybe it will start that time or maybe after 5 times around this loop it will finally start.  Once it is started I can drive all I want and no power loss or anything (drove all the way home with no problems (25 miles).  I am also chasing a flickering in my headlight & guage lights as well... dunno if this could be related.  Here is that post if it could mean anything to you: http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20238&highlight=

check the onnections at your battery,  sounds like a loose wire,  if not the connections at the battery check the connections inside the headlight housing
oops,  you'll need a new one of them

Try jiggleing the ignition switch when it does that without shaking the bike.  If it doesn't come on it isn't the ignition switch.  Most likely it is a loose cable somewhere, like about check the battery and ground cables.  Then just look for bare wire that could be grounding somewhere in the system.  other than that :dunno:

Because your problem only started happening after you dropped it I'm assuming it has nothing to do with the clutch but I just got a new bike today and I thought it was defective when I tried to start it because I'd have to play with it for 20 seconds before it'd even turn on but I found out that the clutch cable was just stretched out and after tightening it up a bit it worked perfectly everytime. Even if this has nothing to do with the problem, atleast its a bump

Hmm, No power to anything after a drop on the right hand side?
Well the main fuse etc is under the right side plastics.
If something has been crimped in here when you dropped it could cause the problem.
Especially check the wires to the fuse as a break here would kill all power.
