Thats it.
I am certified nut.
The bike fever has caught me again.
I did the unthinkable.
I should have known not to get back into the sport. Pretty soon I will quit my high paying job to go and work at a bike shop, my girlfriend will leave me, and I will end up spending all my money that I earn at the bike shop AT the bike shop.

I bought yet another bike already.. and I have only owned my (new to me) GS for just over a month. (I do not even have a garage..)

I picked up an 89' ex250 today for $700 with 15k on the clock. After riding it for a couple hours, I can see the appeal of the little beast. The tourque on it is amazing. Stopping power is killer and you can throw it around because it weighs about as much as a toothpick. Wheelies on it are not even an issue. I did one just trying out the bike bearly meaning to, then when I decided to really go for it.. the front end just lifted with no effort due to the weight. I was seriously surprised. No two up on this thing though, it is not made for it. (Need to check out airtech and pick up a single seat..)If you can find one for cheap, I recommend it. It is no GS, but they are hella fun due to the power/weight ratio! I will let you know how it goes once I ride it a bit more, but I already spent 1/2 the day whipping it through malibu.

you should see the 250's they sell in asia. Honda has a CBR250 that makes 25% more horsepower than the GS500, and (IIRC) a few pounds lighter than the ex500

Malibu is a great place for a small bike. I used to embarass lots of riders of bigger bikes on my gs500, gotta be even better on an ex250.

So you rode malibu and didnt tell anyone you were going? :dunno: Dude, I live in Santa Monica!

Ive been thinking about picking up an EX250 for my wife (she won't ride my GS, says it's too big) to have someone to ride, and learn, with.  The side benefit being that I'd get to ride the 250 too.  They look like a lot of fun.

EX250 is a boatload of fun for cheap, but comments like "the tourque (sic) on it is amazing" and "the front end just lifted with no effort" make me wonder what's your reference point.

Anyway, check out www.ninja250.com and enjoy.
